2007 Community, Place and Change 'Kickstart' Grants
In 2007 Community, Place and Change (CPC) instigated a programme of annual seed-funding to promote research at UTAS within its theme area.
These 'Kickstart' grants provide between $1,000 and $1,500 to up to four groups, and continue in 2008.
Proposals invited in March are assessed by an independent panel which selects the most novel, cross-disciplinary or collaborative projects, building capacity for participants, demonstrating community engagement, and producing some research output by year's end.
In 2007, the CPC 'Kickstart' Grant recipients and their projects were:
- Prof Barbara Hatley et al.
Views of Indonesia from Regional Tasmania
- Final report
- Assoc Prof Margaret Barrett et al.
Building Communities in and through the Arts: A longitudinal research program
- Final report
- Assoc Prof Roberta Julian et al.
Forensic Computing and Policing: Developing a national research agenda
- Final report
- Assoc Prof Sue Kilpatrick et al.
Planning for Service Delivery with Rural Communities
- Final report
(* Researchers selected from each project also feature below as CPC theme area scholars)
